How To Care For Satin Pothos

Allow the soil to dry between watering to avoid root-rot. A good general guide is once every 2 weeks, but make sure you monitor the soil moisture. You can do this easily with a soil & light tester. If you’re a first-time plant parent, read our watering plants guide. You won’t regret it!

Satin Pothos can survive in an array of light conditions from low-light, to bright indirect sunlight.

You don’t need to fuss over Satin Pothos’ humidity levels. Just keep the leaves dust-free away from drafts of radiator heat which expose plants to extreme conditions.

A free draining, nutritious soil is best for Satin Pothos. Try to use peat-free compost wherever possible.

Treat to a houseplant fertiliser feed once per month during spring and summer, reducing during the dormancy periods in winter. If you have never fertilised a satin pothos plant, make sure you read our guide to using fertiliser!

If you think your satin pothos plant has been infected, you can diagnose this using our pests and diseases guide!

You can easily propagate satin pothos by cutting the leaves on either side of a node and training the roots in water. We have a handy repotting guide if you have never repotted your plant before.
