About Philodendron Fun Bun
Looking for a little bit of fun in your home decor? Then look no further than a Philodendron Fun Bun! This indoor houseplant is native to the rainforests of Central and South America, and can usually be found spiralling up trees, from the floor.

Endless Possibilities
This quirky houseplant has long red stems with some jagged glossy leaves. It’ll definitely bring the feel of a rainforest into your home! Similar to other Philodendrons, the “Fun Bun” can also be trained to be a climbing plant. However, you’ll need to train it using a moss pole. Equally, if you want this plant to be a hanging plant, why not place it in a macrame plant hanger?
Easy Care House Plant
The Philodendron Fun Bun is also one of our “easy-care” houseplants, loving a shady spot in your home and occasional watering. Somewhere humid like a bathroom or utility room would be perfect! How To Care For Philodendron Fun Bun
Water when the top couple of inches dry out. You want to really avoid over-watering your heartleaf philodendron to prevent root-rot.
A brightly lit location with little or no direct sun is best, but it will be fine in a darker area. Take note that the chance of rootrot is higher when put in a darker place.
This plant does alright in average room humidity, but you can increase the humidity with a pebble tray or misting the plant every now and then. Equally, you could always place it in a naturally humid room like a bathroom, kitchen, or utility room.
Philodendrons love a soil with loam, sand and peat in equal parts. Have a look at our soil substrates page for more information.
Use a basic houseplant feed once a forthnight in spring and summer. Reduce to once a month during autumn and winter. Something like a Miracle Grow Pump and Feed is perfect!

Check occasionally for spider mites and mealybugs as these are the most common pests for this plant. If your houseplant does become infected, be sure to treat with some of our neem oil and insecticidal soap spray.
